HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS?
Depending on our courses, the session can be anywhere from an hour to two hours.
WHEN TO APPLY FOR 11 PLUS EXAMS?

From June onwards, for both Grammar and Private schools. Parents have to apply in Year 5 for the school's entrance exams.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN EXAM BOARDS FOR THE 11 PLUS EXAM?
CM, GL, CSSE and ISEB.
WHEN ARE 11 PLUS CLASSES HELD AT TESS ACADEMY?
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5pm
Both Year 4 and Year 5 have it on the same days.
DO YOU OFFER 1-2-1 LESSONS?

HOW WILL MY CHILD BE ASSESSED?

At Tess Academy, students will undergo end of month mock tests if they are in Year 4, Year 5 and GCSE.
Year 2, Year 3 and KS3 will undergo termly mock exams.
DO STUDENTS GET HOMEWORK AT TESS ACADEMY?
Yes every Friday. The submission date for homework is Sundays.
DO I GET A PROGRESS REPORT?
Progress reports are given at the end of every month. During the summer mock exam period, the reports are given daily.
DO I GET ANSWERS FOR THE CLASSWORK?

Yes, answers and recordings of the group lessons are given to parents after each lesson.
WHERE DO I GET THE WORK FROM?
From Google Classroom. The work is uploaded a day before the session so that parents have access in order to print or look over it.
HOW OFTEN DO YEAR 1 ATTEND?
Twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays, lessons from 5-6pm.
HOW OFTEN DO YEAR 2 AND 3 ATTEND?

Twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30- 6:30pm
HOW OFTEN DO YEAR 4 AND YEAR 5 ATTEND?
Three days a week. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5-7pm
DO YOU TEACH GCSE?
Year 9 and Year 10 group sessions take place on Saturday from 1-3pm. For students in Year 11, we run group sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30- 8:30pm. We cover English, Maths and all Sciences.
